CLIMBS appoints key people to high posts

The CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative has elevated its homegrown talents to key and more sensitive positions. This is done following the transfer of its former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer(EVP-COO) Isagani B. Daba to Metro South Coop Bank.

Isagani B. Daba is now Metro South's President and CEO.

CLIMBS former Vice President for Marketing Jorge G. Lumasag, Jr., is now the new Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, effective last July 1, 2011.

While, its youngest executive Noel D. Raboy is now the Vice President for Marketing. Raboy was the former General Manager of Coop Life Insurance & Financial Services Agency(CLIFSA), a subsidiary agency of CLIMBS.

Taking the helm of CLIFSA was Henry M. Lopez, CLIMBS former Regional Manager for the Visayas.

Meanwhile, Ms. Sylvia R. Quinesio of Ilo-ilo was appointed CLIMBS regional director for the Visayas. She used to be the Business Development Officer of CLIMBS.

CLIMBS President and CEO Fermin L. Gonzales said CLIMBS will continue working with Daba, after all he might be a loss to CLIMBS but a gain to the cooperative movement.

Daba has been pushing for the partnership, if not a merger, of coop banks in the country.
