CLIMBS Initiates Comprehensive Staff Movement

In order to become more efficient in all facets of its operation, CLIMBS Management has initiated a staff movement, including some of its key personnel.

Ms. Admarie D. Marcelo, a CPA is now the Executive Vice President and Chief Finance Officer which was formerly held by Mr. Jorge G. Lumasag, Jr., who is now the President and Chief Operating Officer (President and COO) of CLIMBS Investment and Mutual Advisory Corporation (CIMAC).

Mr. Jesus Antonio R. Dosdos is now the Vice President for Non-Life Sales.

From the roster of Management Training Program (MTP) graduates, Ruel Arsua, RN (the MTP Batch 1, Valedictorian), former assistant head of the Claims Department is now the concurrent MRS Department Head and Area Operations Officer for Northern Mindanao.

Mr. Danny Dollera is the concurrent Life Division Manager as well as VP and COO of the Division. Reynaldo San Andres, CPA, the CLIMBS Compliance Officer is now the VP for Compliance, Internal Audit and Legal.

Blesilda Lagang-Cumba, formerly Member Related Services head is now the Research and Development Officer. While, Regie Dailo user to be he Data Management Head is now an Assistant Internal Auditor.

Floradel Javonillo used to be the property custodian who applied for administrative officer for Baguio Area Office. Ma.Theresa Seneca, CIMAC Investment Assistant is now the investment manager. Ruth Thelma Loking, erstwhile marketing assistant is now the area sales manager for Northwestern Mindanao. Novefe Cabalda, then bookkeeper is currently the budget officer.

Cecilia G. Cabusas is the web and media correspondence manager while Teddy A. Obsina is the chief investment channel manager.

Leslie Lua and Joymee Gorme were deployed in the Southern Mindanao Area Office. While, Karen Bahian and Creslyn Grote were moved to Cebu Area Office.

The personnel movement and re-alignment of functions was duly approved and mandated by the management after a thorough job evaluation, upgrading observing the personnel management system. This was done in order to upgrade, level-up, decentralize and give an enhanced service to all CLIMBS stakeholders while observing to all CLIMBS stakeholders while observing the Codified Approving and Signing Authorities (CASA).

The development was also the result of the Job Evaluation and Personnel Management System (PMES) engagement contract signed by CLIMBS President and CEO, Mr. Fermin L Gonzales and HR consultation with Atty Juanita R. Gueco. Thus, HRAD Manager Mrs. Delia L. Martinez was at have to put in place the requirements of the said undertaking.

It began after the conclusion of the engagement with Atty.Gueco which started in the last quarter of 2015.

The restructuring of the Table of Organization was a welcome change especially for MTP graduates who underwent a rigorous leadership training undertaken through the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific (IIAP). Atty.Gueco stated that her engagement was smoothly concluded and on schedule.

A declaration of vacancies was routed through a Memo from the HRAD Manager. Every interested staff was given the chance to apply. CLIMBS has a tradition of hiring internally. Unless not one within the current structure applies or qualified, then posting of the vacancies maybe made known to the general public.

The deployment of staff was done nationwide since the vacancies are declared from all the major offices of CLIMBS. Thus, the postings and deployment has indeed put in place the necessary systems and operational requirement as well as manpower complement of the branches and area operations.
