CLIMBS succession planning is in place. This trailblazing undertaking of CLIMBS in partnership with the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific, Inc. (IIAP) is another milestone.

Forty candidates by virtue of office and posting, coming from the 20 departments and area offices have been pre-selected to take part of the Management Training Program (MTP): an intensive 4-month training starting on February 11 to May 31, 2015. The program requires that candidates perfect attendance for the entire duration of the training and must have undertaken the required basic training in Life and Non-Life Insurance from IIAP. However, of the 40 identified candidates only 20 people will formally undergo the said training. The remaining 2o trainees took the IQ and Psychological Tests on February 7 and will be bound with a four-year service contract with CLIMBS at day 1 of the training program. Sadly, before the orientation even started, 10 candidates backed out due to conflicts with prior commitments. Hence, only 30 people attended the orientation last January 19 at the CIFL training room facilitated by Ms. Delia L. Martinez, the HRAD manager and Mrs. Admarie D. Marcelo, CPA, VP & COO.

On February 7, 2015, 30 candidates were made to take the IQ and Psychological examinations from which only 20 people may continue and undergo the intensive program. A monthly performance evaluation shall likewise be undertaken to ensure adherence to the standards set forth for the trainees.

The said program shall be offered as a course by the CIFL as a career enhancement opportunity for the excellent performance of Cooperative Assurance Center (CAC) partners’ officers and cooperative staff of CLIMBS’ cooperators/partners to encourage as well as motivate coop employees nationwide . The intensive as well as comprehensive training is aimed at having an improved breed of leaders, officers and employees, equipped with the necessary skills, highly capable, imbibing positive attitudes, prepared to assume more responsible positions who are also output driven and determined to succeed

The MTP course contents incorporate the following: Enterprise Wide Risk Management, Management Principles and Processes, People Management Problem Analysis and Decision Effectiveness, Basic Operations Management, Personality Development and Social Graces, Marketing with Customer Relationship Management, Basic Accounting and Finance, Effective Oral Presentation Skills, Coaching and Mentoring, Business Continuity Management, Corporate Culture in Cooperatives, Basic Leadership, Strategic Management, Basic Business Grammar Skills, Effective Business Correspondence and Values Integration.
